Macrodantin To Prevent A Uti

Hi,my doctor has put me on 50mg of Macrodantin per day to prevent ongoing UTIS but I seem to have developed a bit of a tight chest and dry cough and was wondering if anyone else had these same side effects and is it dangerous?...................

I've been alternating macrodantin and cephalex for the lastyear and haven't had any side effects. Haven't had any UTIs either
