I have gone a little twice but not 9 days worth! I tried milk of magnesia but it didn't help.. Enema? Does it cause accidents? My doc told me to do that if magnesia didnt work.. Any advice would be great

Have you tried digital stimulation and coffee?

9 days is too long and could be dangerous.
How does it feel to feel?

9 days? Are you taking pain meds? Dehydrated? Time for some liquids and fruit..maybe even try some soup and foods high in fiber.. If it doesnt get you going it may be time for an enema..

Have you been rubbing your belly? That can help sometimes too..

Damn girl, you're full of shit! Haha Pun Intended

I just went through something like this. Try a stool softener and put a diaper on, 'cause when the train leaves the station, there ain't no stoppin' it.

STAND BACK SHE COULD BLOW ANY TIME. All kidding aside that's to long. Eating fiber rich foods can keep the stool soft and some food like chocolate and coconut can make it hard. Go see a doc you need to get things moving.........

Steamed okra and sweet iced tea seem to be the magic for me.
Give it a try!

But 9 days is way too long and can be a real danger. Don't wait too much longer.

Dietary fiber helps your poo absorb water, thereby making it softer.

Grapes have 0 dietary fiber.

Seriously Jackie, get some Miralax and take a dosage between cathings. You can't OD on the stuff. My prep instructions for a colonoscopy that I'm having next week calls for an entire bottle in one day. If I were you (and I've been in your situation) I'd take it until my stomach started to gurgle, then put a diaper on, or sit on the can for as long as you are able. Trust me, it will save you a lot of cleanup.

Fiber keeps the stool soft or so I have been told. Pysillim seed is said to be the best it has much fiber and will keep you regular.

In addition to all the advice mentioned above, i dont know if you use suppositories or not, but there is one called "magic bullet", and that sucker gets it goin quick! I ordered some online last week and tried them out and definatly work alot faster than ducolax brand.

Metamucil contains psyllium fiber and works well. Be sure to consult with your doctor before taking it though as it can affect absorption of any meds you may be taking. As well, being constipated promotes UTI's as the stool sits in the colon it enables the bacteria to travel. There's a reason we 'get rid of it'... so to speak

Fiber helps the stool retain water and therefore remain soft. If you don't drink enough water then it doesn't matter how much fiber you eat your poo will still be hard.

Wow 9d is way too long. Seek medical advice.
