The Ropers Walk Barns self catering adapted holiday accommodation is situated within a small working farm, located on the fringe of the friendly village of Mount Hawke. Not only is the location idyllic, it is also in a perfect position for accessing the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer being only 8 miles from the cathedral city of Truro and just a few minutes drive to the coast. From our holiday accommodation stunning views of St. Agnes Beacon and the surrounding countryside may be enjoyed along with glimpses of the sea. Our holiday accommodation is wheelchair accessible, recently
being awarded mark 3 by the National Accessible Scheme The Byre has been converted to residential holiday accommodation with the wheelchair user in mind. We have also taken into consideration the needs of the visually and hearing impaired guests. The building is single storey on a level site offering spacious and quality accommodation. Immediately outisde the main entrance door is Tarmaced car parking space. We have recently been assessed for the National Accessible Scheme and were graded mark 3. We have made the bedrooms as adaptable as possible by offering a choice of twin beds or a large double bed in each and bespoke dressing tables with clear underspaces. The en suite shower room with a thermostatically controlled shower has a wet area with an adjustable height washbasin. The toilet enables transfer from either side. As an extra convenience we have included a body drier and self-propelled shower chair. The second bathroom has a thermostatically controlled shower over the bath, a washbasin and toilet. Each of these rooms has anti-slip flooring. The living room, comprising kitchen, dining and seating areas is open plan for ease of movement. The hob and sink have space underneath to allow easy access for a wheelchair user. Depending upon the individual needs of our guests, additional equipment can be provided and a hire list made available. We welcome questions prior to booking to ensure that, as far as possible, we are able to meet the special requirements of our guests. We have taken special care to design a comfortable and attractive environment for your stay whilst also ensuring that provisions for any extra needs have been made. Customer Comments "What a great job you have done of making such excellent holiday accommodation! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in Cornwall and the fact the accommodation was 1st Class made it even better - you have left no stone unturned! We could not have wanted for anything else!" "After 10 years of hiring holiday houses with disabled access and facilities, both in the UK and overseas, this is the best appointed that we have found. A pity it couldn't be cloned and used as a standard. But this is also quite a special location. Thanks for a very accessible and peaceful time." "A really wonderful place, total tranquillity. Peter and Liz gave us a warming, friendly welcome. Truly homely we loved the cream tea! Superb quality. So much thought and care has obviously been used to make people with disabled needs feel dignified and respected. We'll be back!"
